Why Pet Sponsorship Matters
Some of the animals in our care face unique challenges that make it harder for them to find a home. These pets may be older, have medical or behavioral challenges, or have already stayed with us for a longer-than-average period. For these animals, finding a forever home can take more time and effort, but with your help, we can give them the additional support they need.
With a $75 gift, you can sponsor a pet for 30 days and help cover the cost of their care. Your sponsorship provides essential resources such as medical treatments, food, and enrichment. It’s a wonderful way to be a champion for a pet who needs a little extra love, and it gives them the best chance of finding their perfect home.
How Pet Sponsorship Works
Getting involved is simple and impactful. Here’s how it works:
- Choose an Animal: Browse through our available animals in need of sponsorship. These pets may face challenges like age, breed, size, or behavioral issues that make them harder to adopt. You can choose a dog, cat, or small animal from our list.
- Sponsor Your Pet: Once you’ve chosen your pet, click “Sponsor Me” and fill out the information, making sure to specify which animal you’d like to sponsor.
- Checkout and Save a Life: Your $75 sponsorship covers 30 days of care for your selected pet. If the animal is adopted during your month of sponsorship, your contribution will be redirected to help other animals in need at AWA through our general operating fund.
- Stay Connected: You’ll receive updates on your sponsored pet, including photos and progress reports, so you can follow their journey until they find a home.
