Our Pet Sponsors make miracles happen

Many animal-lovers want to help homeless pets but are unable to adopt. Our Pet Sponsors make a real difference, especially by helping fund medical and behavioral needs for our harder-to-place pets.

Here are a few little miracles that Pet Sponsors have played in the lives of our shelter pets.

Helen K had been with us so long that we were concerned she might never find a home until an “angel” took an interest and sponsored this partially blind, older cat. After nearly two years of life in the community cat room, Helen seemed to perk up when the angel came into her life. Just three months later, a family spotted her, fell in love and adopted her.

Next, the same “angel” sponsored Holly, a pleasantly plump tabby who loved to eat.

Holly could strut her stuff down the catwalk for potential families, yet not everyone was willing to work with her plus-size. Holly had been with us for some time while we created a weight-loss plan for her. Yet, despite her engaging personality, we expected we’d have her for the foreseeable future. Lo and behold! Not long after she found a sponsor, Holly went home with a family who love her—and continue her on a diet and exercise plan.
